On 19 December 2017 the Regional Group in The Netherlands organised a get-together in The Hague.
Mr Jeroen Dijsselbloem, Dutch former Minister of Finance and still President of the Euro-group as well as President of the Board of Governors of the European Stability Mechanism, gave a key note speech. The topic was ‘Lessons learned and the future of the Economic and Monetary Union’.
Some 40 former students attended the meeting. Apart from them also some 50 other people were invited, from universities and other European networks.
The speech of Dijsselbloem was enlightening and interesting, the discussions intensive.
Another outcome of the meeting was that an amount of around 1200 € was collected in order to contribute to a scholarship for a student, qualified to study at the College but unable to pay the (full) entry fee.
It is the intention of the Dutch Regional Group to organize more activities in the future.
